Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present cafeteria meals for all departments according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and quality standards
  • Set up, stock, replenish, and maintain food stations and serving lines during meal periods
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, temperature control, health regulations, and hotel safety policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, cafeteria areas, and storage spaces
  • Receive, label, store, rotate, and maintain inventory of food products and supplies while minimizing waste and assisting with ordering
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide professional, friendly, and proactive service while supporting fellow team members and assisting with additional assigned duties as needed
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned
  • Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:
  • Creative and passionate about food and customer service
  • Must be able to work any shift assigned, such as holidays, weekends, mornings, afternoons and evenings.
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
  • Previous experience in the culinary field required
  • Journeyman's papers or international equivalent an asset
  • Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Responsible for State & Federal Food Handlers certification (mandatory)
