Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Measure quantities of materials and labor required.
• Prepare tender and contract documents.
• Evaluate contractor bids and quotations.
• Monitor project costs and cash flow throughout construction.
• Assess and process variations, claims, and change orders.
• Conduct site visits to verify work progress.
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
• Provide cost advice and value engineering recommendations to clients.
• Required Skills
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
