About the role
Mission: To drive monthly closing processes and execute accounting reconciliations to achieve audit-ready financial data in compliance with statutory, internal policies and reporting requirements. Key Outcomes in 6-12 months: Build and execute monthly balance sheet reconciliation processes to be delivered in a clear, accessible, and standardized format Execute and drive month-end closing processes and schedule Review general ledger and ensure entries are recorded in a timely, accurate and complete manner for the month-end closing (3BD after month end) Maintain Chart of Accounts (COA) and ensure strict application of COA definitions in transactional accounting Prepare multi-jurisdictional entity consolidated P&L and balance sheet Oversee daily transactional accounting processes and reconciliations across the jurisdictions to ensure adherence to accounting and internal controls framework and ensure open items are resolved in a timely manner Perform intercompany reconciliations Prepare GST/VAT reconciliations and filings in compliance with the respective jurisdictions (SG and AU) Support management reporting Implement new accounting requirements arising from new accounting standards or business requirements Prepare local financial statements and audit requirements Continuously review accounting processes and propose steps to strengthen financial controls in collaboration with IT and business Continuously identify and implement automation or streamline processes through utilization of IT tool Degree in Accounting, Business, or similar field; CPA/CA (or equivalent) strongly preferred; 5-8 years total experience Proven track record in delivering timely and quality month-end closing within 3BD Experienced with Financial / ERP systems and ability to reconcile financial data across multiple platforms Hands-on experience managing accounting for entities across multiple jurisdictions Excellent spoken and written English Must-have Attributes: Ownership Humility Structured thinking Data driven Collaborative Strong communicator Meticulous Resilient Self-motivated Can have tough conversations in a positive way Some other great things about working at Sleek...
