Student Estimator Our internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We'll help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment. We are seeking a student to join us for a 4 or 8 month co-op position starting in September 2026. This position will be based out of Mississauga, Ontario. What You Will Be Working On What You'll Be Working On Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to gain an understanding of project scope and requirements. Conduct take-offs from project drawings and develop material and labor quantity est imates. Utilize est imating software and tools to prepare detailed cost est imates, including labor, materials, subcontractor quotes, and other project costs. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, including organizing and compiling all relevant est imating information. Collaborate with senior est imator s and project managers to review and analyze bids and proposals for accuracy and competitiveness. Assist in maintaining and updating cost databases, historical data, and est imating resources to ensure accuracy and consistency in est imating practices. Support the est imating team in tracking and reporting on project bids, opportunities, and market trends. Participate in departmental and project meetings to provide input and support on est imating-related matters. Stay up to date with industry trends, construction technologies, and b est practices in est imating. Who We Need On Our Team You are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program such as mechanical or electrical engineering , or an equivalent program You will complete at least one more sem est er of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships Exemplify the Ideal Team Player - Hungry, Humble, Smart Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
