About the role
Step into a dynamic role as a Machinery Operator at Haycocks Station where your hands-on skills will help drive the success of our farm operations. You'll be responsible for a fleet of four john deere tractors and associated machinery, coordinating their ongoing maintenance. ABOUT HAYCOCKS STATION Haycocks Station is a large Pāmu farm stretching for 37km along the Mavora Valley, its operational strength lies in the balance between highly productive, flat river terraces along the valley floor and vast tracts of improved tussock hill country. Haycocks is situated about 30 minutes from Te Anau and within two hours of Invercargill and Queenstown. It offers space, variety, and a strong connection to the land, with access to nearby towns and outdoor lifestyle options. The 6,242 effective hectare property runs around 39,000 stock units, including 11,000 Romney ewes, 3,000 hoggets, 1,900 Angus breeding cows and heifers, and 5,500 red deer hinds. Haycocks plays an important role in providing quality livestock to Pamu's finishing farms, where all progeny excluding replacements are sent at weaning.
