Senior Accountant

About the role

We're hiring a Senior Accountant to join Rilla's Finance team. As a founding finance hire, you'll own core accounting processes, drive financial close, and build the internal controls and reporting infrastructure we need to scale. This is a broad, hands-on role - you won't just maintain the books, you'll shape how we do finance as a company.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and annual close - journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Manage revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP, including subscription and multi-period arrangements
• Oversee AP, accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
• Assist with financial statements and internal management reports
• Support annual audits, tax filings, and coordination with external auditors and advisors
• Drive finance system implementations and workflow automation
• Assist with cash flow management and forecasting
• Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner with operations, finance, and leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analyses
• Support benefits administration as the team grows
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and help us scale

• What We Need
• 2+ years of experience at an accounting firm, ideally with SaaS clients
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP accounting practices
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite
• Advanced spreadsheet and financial modeling skills
• CPA certification and a degree in Accounting or Finance
• Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to roll up sleeves and work hands-on in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
