About the role
Reporting to the Lead Occupational Hygienist, the Coordinator, Health and Hygiene is responsible for maintaining and implementing exposure reduction strategies as a part of the Occupational Health and Hygiene program at our Fording River Operations. To be successful, we are looking for someone with outstanding interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, who can influence partners at all levels and areas of the organization. The successful candidate has strong problem-solving abilities, who can prioritize workloads, and keep organized and accurate records. Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in health and safety or a science related field of study such as chemistry, biology, or environmental science
- Registered Occupational Hygiene Technologist designation, or willingness to work towards, registered with the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists, or equivalent
- Strong digital literacy, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite®
- Experience related to the control of occupational exposures in mining or heavy industry is an asset
