Job DescriptionSalary: $3750.00 per month / $45,000 per yearEssential Functions:Under supervision of the Lead counselor, conduct individual, group and crisis counseling to positively affect retention of cadets and to identify their life/career goals. Provides daily feedback on cadets progress to supervisor.Provide individual counseling and group guidance in the areas of life coping skills, drug and alcohol education, character education, as well as individual/personal issues.Assist with retention of cadets as neededCoordinate and schedule guest speakers and field trips appropriate to counseling group subject matterAttend educational, institutional and department meetings and trainings as requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities : Ability to handle confidential information; exercise sound judgment in interpreting and applying rules or policy. Internet and computer skills for program database entry.Education and Experience: BA/BS in counseling, education or related field required. Masters and Licensure (LPC/LBP) preferredLicenses/Certificates required : LPC/LBP preferredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 poundsConditions of Employment :Contingent on a favorable background checkContingent on passing a pre-employment drug & alcohol screeningMust maintain a valid driver's licenseT1/CNACI security clearance (Eligibility for national security positions shall be granted only to persons who are U.S. Citizens)Serves a 12-month trial periodContingent on receiving continuous federal fundingNotes: This position is located in PryorOklahoma Employment eligibility verified through e-Verify (Homeland Security), and a NationalAgency Check for positions that require computer access. This position requires travel in and out of state with overnight stays.
