Occupational Therapist (LOCUM)

Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver individualized Occupational Therapy interventions for children with diverse developmental challenges such as motor coordination disorder, sensory processing disorder, or autism spectrum disorder to improve functional outcomes.
• Design and facilitate group Occupational Therapy classes focused on skills like handwriting and socialization to enhance peer interaction and developmental progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers by providing detailed updates on the child's progress and actionable home strategies to support therapy goals.
• Maintain current knowledge of advances in Paediatric Occupational Therapy to apply evidence-based practices effectively.
• [LOCUM] Commit to weekend work (Saturday) to meet client scheduling needs.
• Required competencies and certifications
• Full registration with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Diploma, Degree, or Masters in Occupational Therapy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
