Responsibilities
- The General Medical Registered Nurse (RN) responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient's physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Safely administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and report adverse reactions.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and provide timely interventions.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education to patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans.
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies, including initiating CPR or other life-saving measures when necessary.

Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
