About the role
You'll join a collaborative and forward-thinking Tax team that works at the intersection of regulation, business strategy, and innovation. Your Day to Day In this role, you'll take ownership and act as a trusted tax advisor across the organization: Provide tax guidance on new products, transactions, and contracts, ensuring correct treatment and smooth implementation; Stay ahead of legislative changes and collaborate with stakeholders to embed them into business processes; Act as tax subject matter expert in various finance and other change initiatives, in order to establish any tax impact (e.g. VIDA, OECD Pillar 2); Oversee tax computation, reporting, and payment processes in line with internal controls; Prepare tax reporting for the group, ensuring SOx compliance; Offer timely, practical tax advice to business lines to support decision-making; Contribute to transfer pricing documentation; Apply ING group tax policies and support their continuous improvement Strengthen and maintain internal tax control frameworks; Collaborate with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities, providing clear and accurate information; Continuously monitor Romanian and international tax developments, assessing their impact on the bank. What You Bring to the Team You bring both expertise and a proactive mindset, along with: Bachelor's degree in Economics; Master's degree in Tax Law is an advantage; Minimum 4 years' experience in tax advisory (Big 4 preferred); financial services experience is a plus; Strong knowledge of local and international tax regulations; Working knowledge of IFRS; Membership in the Romanian Chamber of Certified Tax Advisers (nice to have); Computer literacy in: Excel, Word, E-mail, AI tools, Power BI, Power Point. Fluency in English, written and spoken; High integrity, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving abilities; Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders; A proactive, well-organized approach with a strong sense of ownership; Adaptability in a dynamic environment, with strong planning skills; Client-oriented mindset with a "can-do" attitude and initiative; A growth mindset, actively seeking improvements and continuously developing your skills and knowledge.
