About the role

The Operations Manager / Production Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the operation, including industrial maintenance, warehouse, and production control areas. This position is 100% onsite at our Health & Medical plant in Yumbo, Valle de Cauca, reporting directly to the Site Manager. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and site leadership, contributing directly to business performance and operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Act as a role model for Safety and Essity values, behaviors, and beliefs.
• Drive strategic initiatives and implement management systems and operational standards.
• Lead the Autonomous Maintenance pillar, strengthening organizational capability.
• Own operational results (SQCDM) and ensure performance targets are met.
• Develop and coach teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Apply structured problem-solving tools to eliminate losses and optimize performance.
• Manage the annual operational budget and ensure cost control.
• Ensure strong communication routines through daily, weekly, and monthly performance meetings.
• Lead performance management processes and support growth of critical operational areas.

Requirements

• You are a results-driven leader with a passion for operational excellence and people development. You bring strong analytical thinking, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to inspire teams in complex environments.
• Key requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in industrial operations or production leadership roles.
• Knowledge of TPM, maintenance systems, and industrial processes.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiency.
• Advanced English proficiency (required)
