Additional Information

The Bread Factory is London's leading Artisan Bakery, known for award-winning breads, pastries, and cakes, supplying top-quality products across e-commerce, grocery, food services, and retailers such as our GAIL's Bakeries nationwide. As our teams grow, we seek our next Instructional Designer to join our team on a 6-month contract. Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing: Build structured learning pathways for critical roles Develop a library of video, how-to, and e-learning content Populate and optimise the LMS for usability and engagement Create scalable templates and standards for future content Our team tells us you will be a great addition if you have: Strong grounding in learning design principles (e.g. adult learning theory, blended learning) Ability to translate operational/manufacturing processes into structured learning journeys Experience designing for different audiences Short-form training videos (storyboarding, scripting, working with SMEs) Step-by-step "how-to" guides and process training Interactive e-learning modules Comfortable using external authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar Basic video editing skills (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent) Hands-on experience with LMS design tools Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards Ability to work closely with subject matter experts in a manufacturing setting Strong communication skills to extract knowledge and turn it into clear learning Comfortable challenging and shaping vague or incomplete requirements Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or operational environments Understanding of compliance, safety, and process-driven training needs
