Supervisory Aviation Technical Systems Specialist (Team Manager)

About the role

The position being filled serves as a Second Level Manager within one of the multiple AJW-1000 Second Level Engineering (SLE) Teams. The incumbent reports directly to a SLE Group Level Manager and directs the technical and administrative activities of multiple sub-teams necessary to support the National Airspace System (NAS) operational and developmental systems. To qualify at the FV-K (FG/GS-15) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J (FG/GS-14) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position being filled. Specialized experience includes: Experience applying advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles to support the design, development, testing, implementation, or sustainment of NAS hardware and/or software systems. Experience providing technical oversight and guidance to engineers, technicians, or program staff, including reviewing work products, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring compliance with established standards and requirements. Experience managing or contributing to projects or programs involving NAS systems, including coordinating resources, tracking milestones, and ensuring successful delivery of operations or developmental objectives. Experience analyzing system performance data, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions or process improvements to enhance system reliability, safety, or efficiency. Experience supporting or advising management on workforce planning, budgeting, or resource allocation related to technical programs or organizational objectives.
