Conduct learning needs assessments to identify competency gaps and training requirements among nursing staff. Design, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate orientation programmes, in-service training, and continuing education initiatives to support workforce development. Assessthe effectiveness of educational interventions and implement improvements toenhance learning outcomes and clinical performance. Identify and source external educational and professional development opportunities, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and certification programmes. Provide guidance and consultation to clinical instructors and preceptors on matters relating to student supervision, staff development, and competency achievement. Support Nurse Managers in reviewing and investigating incidents involving nursing students, ensuring appropriate follow-up and learning opportunities. Collaborate with Nurse Managers to uphold compliance with patient care standards, clinical protocols, and professional practice requirements. Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and mentorship to nurses at all levels, including trainee and newly appointed nursing staff. Monitor nursing practice to identify knowledge and skill gaps, implementing targeted development plans where required. Conduct competency assessments and performance evaluations to ensure staff meet established clinical and professional standards. Work closely with Nurse Managers and Nurse Clinicians to identify and nominate suitable staff for advanced and specialised professional development programmes, including postgraduate qualifications, advanced diplomas, and workforce development initiatives such as Community Care Manpower Development Awards (CCMDA). Optimise the utilisation of training resources and budgets to maximise staff learning opportunities and organisational value. Promote and market educational programmes to external healthcare organisations and stakeholders to support professional collaboration and knowledge sharing. Coordinate clinical placements, student attachments, and practicum opportunities for nursing students, while facilitating attachment requests from external institutions and healthcare organisations. Maintain accurate training records and monitor staff participation in education and competency development activities.
