Chemours is seeking a Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance Specialist, South Korea to join our growing Sustainability team. This position will be available at the Seoul, Korea site . The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: As a key member of the Asia-Pacific Product Sustainability Team, you will be responsible for well defined, specific aspects of the South Korea compliance framework, primarily for submitting SDS and Chemical Confirmation Letters to Korea OSHA, for obtaining specific permits for hazardous substances (the Chemical Control Act (CCA), and for monitoring and communicating regulatory changes. You will be supporting and collaborating with the Senior PS&R Korea Expert, including Collaborating with global product stewards, and local stakeholders for compliance of importation under the AREC (Korea REACH) regulation monitoring business activities to verify regulatory compliance deadlines and requirements are met directly engaging with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders contributing to the development of regulatory recommendations and decisions to relevant stakeholders You will collaborate with the Global Packaging Waste Regulatory Compliance Expert on the Act on Recycling of Resources and will submit required reports to the authorities. You will collaborate with the Product Sustainability Team and our different business unit stakeholders to understand their present requirements & future needs, identify opportunities, develop, implement, and execute operational objectives and work plans for compliance requirements. The following is required for this role: Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field Proven 3 to 5 years' experience in product stewardship and regulatory compliance Comprehensive knowledge of Korea REACH, Korea OSHA and CCA Proven excellent analytical, communication, project planning and management skills Working effectively as a part of team and with cross-functional teams (e.g., Technical, R&D) and across geographies to ensure alignment on, and compliance with, regulations Results oriented individual Track record of successful regulatory advocacy Excellent language skills in Korean and English The following is preferred for this role: We are looking for a strong and positive personality who is eager to learn who picks new things up easily You are interested in expanding responsibilities in the regulatory compliance field Previous experience working with chemical regulations (Korea REACH, Korea OSHA, and CCA) You like to multi-task, and you are used to high workloads at times You are excited and able to work in a team of experts and with internal and external stakeholders across country lines and time zones
