About the role

The Challenge To provide an Asset Management support function through planning, scheduling and resource coordination for the maintenance, installation and modification of all equipment in designated areas and to facilitate all Work Management Processes in accordance with regulations and set procedures, to achieve optimum equipment availability, continuous system improvements and process efficiency objectives. The Ideal Applicant: Grade 12 (20 points) with Mathematics, Science and "E" in English (20 points) OR a National Senior Certiciate AND Pre-1993 - Diesel Mechanic Trade Diploma, with N2 Cert OR 1992-1994 - Level 4 Trade Diploma with 4 theoretical subjects at Level 3, OR Post 1994 - Level 3 Trade certificate with 4 theoretical subjects at Level 3. OR Grade 10 with Mathematics, Science and "E" in English (24 Points) AND Pre-1993 - Diesel Mechanic Trade Diploma with N3 Cert OR 1992-1994 - Level 4 Trade Diploma with 4 theoretical subjects at Level 3, OR Post 1994 - Level 3 Trade certificate with 4 theoretical subjects at Level 3. Valid Code B/BE Driver's license (Manual Transmission). Valid Code of Conduct Knowledge of Namibian Labour Law Computer literate in MS-Office packages including MS Projects Experience configuring and using SAP CMMS software (3 - 5 years) Experience planning preventative and corrective maintenance in mobile maintenance equipment (5-7 years) Six (6) years post apprenticeship experience as a Artisan in the mining industry with knowledge of Earthmoving Mining Equipment knowledge. Preference will be given to candidates with Diesel Mechanic experience. Preference will be given to candidates with accredited NQF level 7 or higher Engineering Qualifications i.e. BTech, BSc or BEng As part of the interview & selection process, candidates will undergo various assessments Job Specific Competencies include: Leadership and people management, Technical and analytical competence Continuous improvement mindset Extracting and analyzing SAP reports for sectional KPIs
