We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Officer to join our team at our Laverton branch. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounts professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to be part of a well-established Australian manufacturing business. Reporting to the Finance Team and working closely with Branch Managers, Shared Services, suppliers, and customers, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions across the business. About the Role As an Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for managing a range of accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Daily customer sales invoicing Managing debtors' accounts, including receipt processing, collections, aged debtor reviews, and follow-up Managing creditors' accounts, including processing supplier invoices and ensuring timely payments Reconciling bank, customer, and supplier accounts Processing credit note requests and liaising with suppliers Month-end debtor and creditor ledger reconciliations Assisting with warehouse stocktakes as required Supporting branch managers and the finance team with general accounting duties Providing administrative and accounting support across the business as required About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Minimum 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or a similar accounting position Strong reconciliation skills across debtor, creditor, and bank accounts Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and relationship-building skills A collaborative and team-oriented approach Good computer literacy and experience using accounting systems Experience with Pronto or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded Willingness to occasionally travel to regional branches when required Why Join Metroll?
