Responsibilities
- Verify accuracy of construction orders for individual store projects. These include fixtures, millwork, equipment, office furniture, and all other construction related items needing to be purchased for new and update stores.
- Develop processes and procedures to simplify construction orders and that delivery schedules are upheld.
- Create, report and implement cost savings initiatives.
- Identify order overages for store projects (new and updates) by implementing a process to identify overages.
- Contact and manage recyclers/buyers/liquidators for bulk used fixtures, sell or recycle fixtures for ASO return profit.
- Partner with Space Planning/ Plan- O- Grams to create a program that ensures fixture orders are based on actual POG counts not bulk ordering for coverage.
- Review CAD plans to place accurate office furniture orders with the proper vendor and ensure on time delivery and installation are conducted.
- Manage on hand store counts and adjust backstock fixture numbers for current and future seasonal changes upon project completion.
- Participate in store project walks to identify items that may need to be ordered for the store project.
- Travel to and document that fixture procedure implementations are being followed by vendors and the store support team.
- Secure diagrams on how to install/build specialty fixtures and create and maintain an assembly book.
- Partner with store support merchandise team and construction team to assist in the execution of the store project.
- Manage the completion of the punch list items upon project completion due to missing or pending fixtures.
- Manage vendors for the tracking of deliveries and expediting where applicable.
- Develop and manage close business relationships with key stakeholders to identify needs and ensure business goals are met. Aid in resolving all issues that may arise such as backorders, short shipments and late shipments.
- Communicate order information and changes that impact stores and field representatives.
- Manage expenditures and manage unneeded costs.
- Source and select vendors, place orders, verify product quality and ensure on time deliveries.
- Monitor project execution to ensure that key milestones and financial budgets are met and projects are delivered effectively to achieve the overall goals and objectives of remodel projects and new store openings. Escalates issues to ensure they are resolved as needed.
- Interface and meet with vendors and store managers, in addition to construction and fixture set-up/merchandise project managers and others as necessary.
- Manage vendor relations through all project phases: production, logistics, implementation and project close outs of all custom and non-custom fixtures and equipment.
