About the role
RMIT Vietnam is seeking a Research Assistant, School Support (6 months & Third-party contract) to support a research project by data collection, and analysis, and coordinating project activities and stakeholders. The role also manages research documentation, assists in reporting and communications, and contributes to the overall delivery of the project.

Competitive remuneration VND package for Vietnamese candidates.Contract duration: 6 monthsAnnual leave: 1 day per working monthFree use of onsite sports and fitness facilitiesLibrary on campus and online - access to the RMIT Australia online libraryAccess to state-of-the-art facilities and resourcesA vibrant and diverse campus life and more!POSITION SUMMARYKey Accountabilities SummarySpecific responsibilities will depend on the topic, nature and duration of the projects, provided by the Line Manager.Duties may include:Conduct laboratory/field work/research in the area under the supervision of the Line ManagerConduct academic literature reviews and database searchesAssist with the design of data collection, scientific tests or interview regime.Ensure data collection, storage and preliminary analysis are following the research protocols as stipulated.Conduct, record, and transcribe interviews in English or Vietnamese, with translation if requiredPrepare and manage presentations, reports, research proposal, articles and publicationsConduct qualitative and quantitative data analysisEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and University policies and procedures, including research ethics, equity and health & safety, and laboratory standards and exhibit good practice with same.Manage the coordination of meetings between researchers and participating external administrators as required.Develop internal and external contacts to further knowledge and form collaborative networksSupport day-to-day research activity and/or coordinate activities with the Line Manager and relevant stakeholdersPrepare reports related to research activity outcomesKey Selection CriteriaUniversity graduate degree (Masters or doctorate) in Arts, Science, Social Science or Business.If English is not the first language, then evidence of IELTS score of minimum 6.0 during the last two years should be provided.Demonstrated research experience in primary or secondary data collection.Ability to use NVivo, SPSS, Stata, and R is preferred.Knowledge of literature review databases.Ability to conduct analytical research, analyse, interpret, evaluate, coordinate as well as report resulting information.Demonstrated ability to support research proposal preparation, research design in Arts, Science, Social Science or BusinessExperience in preparing research reports and graphic presentations of data.Problem-solving skills that assure detailed follow-up when required.Well-developed planning and organizational skills with proven ability to prioritise multiple tasks, set and meet deadlines and give attention to detail.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications.Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including the ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues and cluster leads/members.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlinesHealth insuranceVision insuranceEquity / stock options
