Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will provide single-session counselling to the adult population of Nova Scotia through the Access Wellness program. Service will be provided in-person, in a TELUS Health office, online via video call or via telephone.

  • What you bring
  • Master's Degree in Counselling, Social Work or Counselling Psychology is mandatory;
  • Membership with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers or Novia Scotia College of Counselling Therapists is mandatory;
  • Minimum of three years of post-Masters clinical experience;
  • Strong assessment skills and ability to work within a single-session model;
  • Ability to use a solution focused approach and to set short term objectives;
  • Ability to clinically manage high-risk cases.
  • Ability to articulate and provide resources and support after the consultation.
