Industrial Automation & Controls Technician

Requirements

• Associate degree or trade school certification in controls, electronics, or a related field
• 3-5 years of manufacturing or production experience with both electrical and mechanical systems
• Journeyman's card or equivalent electrical certification
• PLC/HMI programming experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or ELAU)
• Electrical troubleshooting experience, including motors (480V)
• Understanding of industrial network protocols and process control systems
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Knowledge of industry safe practices and procedures

Industrial Automation & Controls Technician Location: Henrico, VA Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Day shift (approx. 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM), with flexibility to support other shifts as needed Pay: Starts at $38.00/hour (higher based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation & Controls Technician to support the maintenance, reliability, and performance of automated manufacturing systems. This role combines expertise in industrial controls, PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment optimization to help maintain efficient production operations. The successful candidate will have experience supporting automated equipment, diagnosing complex electrical and control issues, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability.
