$64,000.00 to Negotiable AnnualGeneral Description / Primary PurposeJob FunctionUnified Endpoint Engineering & VirtualizationVirtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI): Plan, design, and maintain cloud and on-premises virtualization platforms, specifically focusing on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and application virtualization.Platform Management: Deliver high-tier engineering support for a diverse ecosystem including Windows (PC), macOS, and iOS.Modern Provisioning: Develop and maintain the Client Management Roadmap, implementing automated imaging, provisioning, and deployment strategies for both physical and virtual endpoints.Architecture & Delivery: Assist in the design of virtualization platforms to deliver critical applications, ensuring high availability and cost-effective license integration.Software Licensing & Financial StewardshipPortfolio Oversight: Act as the primary coordinator for institutional software licensing, managing a complex portfolio of 1,000+ titles with an annual spend of approximately $1.6M.Database & Analysis: Design and maintain a comprehensive software licensing database to track renewals, evaluate recurring purchases, and perform cost-benefit rationalization.Compliance: Monitor software maintenance and compliance, ensuring that licensing models are optimized for both traditional and virtualized environments.Infrastructure Security & OperationsSystem Integrity: Manage global patching, updates, and security configuration standards to ensure a hardened client environment.Tier III Technical Support: Serve as the final escalation point for the most complex client system issues, providing specialized troubleshooting for hardware, software, and deployment infrastructure.Asset Lifecycle: Maintain rigorous hardware and software asset inventories, providing data-driven reporting to inform hardware standards and procurement.Leadership & Project ManagementProject Management: Lead small-to-medium IT projects, defining milestones, documentation, and technical standards for implementation.Strategic Collaboration: Coordinate with peer administrators and engineers across IT support teams to ensure service alignment.Vendor Management: Manage external supplier relationships to ensure technical requirements and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.Marginal FunctionsMay serve as project manager on small-to-medium sized projects.Work with Systems Engineering, Security, Network, & Enterprise teams as needed to meet needs on campus endpoints.Work with internal Purchasing department and ITS billing/records.Coordinate and support the use of technology across all ITS Campus Technology Services support divisions/departments as directed by the manager or aboveMaintain project and desktop, mobile and peripheral support as needed throughout division in support of Client & Licensing initiatives.Participates in on call coverage rotationRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla.
