Responsibilities

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree
  • Current registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience; oncology or complex medical settings preferred.
  • Training and experience in psychotherapy. Training in CALM, EASE, mentalization-based, and relational psychotherapies is an asset.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, comfortable leading supervision groups and educational sessions.
  • Experience in research coordination, knowledge translation, and qualitative or quantitative data analysis is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.

This role is divided equally between clinical psychosocial oncology practice and research, project management, and education support. The successful candidate will provide compassionate, evidence-based care that is grounded in a patient-centered, relational therapeutic approach. The role requires strong clinical skills, interest in adult education, and the ability to support ongoing research and program development. Subject to available funding, a contract extension or more permanent role within the G-CPC may be possible. The Social Worker will deliver evidence-based psychosocial oncology services.
