About the role

OIG is organized into six operational units: the Immediate Office of the Inspector General, Office of the Counselor, Office of Audits and Evaluations, Office of Healthcare Inspections, Office of Investigations, and Office of Management and Administration. In addition to the Washington, DC, headquarters, OIG has offices located in more than 60 locations throughout the country. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: -Applying federal security, credentialing, identity management, access management, or related policies, standards, and procedures to support operational security functions; AND -Conducting identity proofing, sponsorship, enrollment, issuance, replacement, revocation, or other credential lifecycle management activities; AND -Administering, supporting, or resolving issues involving physical or logical access control systems and credentialing programs; AND -Interpreting and applying security policies, standards, and procedures to resolve routine and moderately complex operational issues; AND -Coordinating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including HR, IT, security personnel, or other organizations, to support security, credentialing, or access management activities; AND -Maintaining accountability, control, and chain-of-custody for credentials, badges, access devices, or related security assets. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
