Mō te tūranga | About the role We're looking for a Stabilising / Profile Milling Operator to join our Waikato team. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows civil construction, takes pride in doing the job properly, and is ready to get stuck in. You'll operate stabilising and profile milling plant, support the wider crew on site, and help deliver Good Work that keeps our projects moving safely and to a high standard. This role suits someone who likes variety, backs themselves, and is comfortable working a schedule that includes Monday to Friday work, regular weekend work, and night shifts. Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities Operate stabilising and profile milling machinery safely and efficiently on civil construction projects. Carry out pre-start checks, basic plant care, and routine maintenance to keep equipment running well. Work closely with site crews and leaders to deliver planned works on time and to specification. Identify on-site issues early and respond with practical, safe solutions. Support general site activities as needed, including hands-on manual work. Follow all safety, quality, and environmental requirements at all times. Contribute to a team culture that is low ego, supportive, and focused on delivering high standards. A Class 4 or Class 5 driver's licence with W, T, R endorsements. Strong mechanical awareness and a sharp eye for detail. A proactive, self-driven approach and real pride in the quality of your work. Solid problem-solving skills and the confidence to think on your feet. A genuine commitment to safety and wellbeing on site. Clear communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. The ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role, including manual work. Comfort working outdoors, around active construction sites, and across day, night, and weekend shifts.
