Responsibilities

  • Strategic Campaign Management (50% time)
  • Serve as strategic and administrative support to the Campaign Leadership Team and Cabinet, ensuring leadership and team are fully equipped and supported in their campaign roles.

  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate Campaign Cabinet meetings, including developing agendas, pre-read materials, and slide content.
  • Develop resources for Campaign Leadership Team and Campaign Cabinet to support their outreach efforts, including talking points, template email messages and follow-up tools.
  • Prepare campaign updates and supporting materials, including pre-read text, talking points and presentations for reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Donor Strategy & Moves Management (50% time)
  • In coordination with Director of Individual Philanthropy Services, plan, coordinate and facilitate weekly internal campaign prospect tracking meetings, including developing agendas.
  • Prepare customized donor strategy briefs and meeting materials to inform and equip WRI leadership and ambassadors for cultivation and solicitation conversations.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership to support their out-the-door donor engagement efforts, including preparing briefings, drafting donor correspondence, follow-up messages, and internal notes as needed to advance relationships and document next steps.

This is a hybrid position which requires 8 days per month in the office. You can be based in our office in Washington DC. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission as WRI is unable to sponsor any visa work sponsorship for this position. To be eligible for this position, you must be a resident of DC, Maryland or Virginia at the start of employment. As WRI advances its comprehensive capital campaign, the Individual Philanthropy Team is central to strengthening the organization's fundraising capacity and driving the campaign across the finish line by securing critical general and flexible support. From principal and major gifts to mid-level and annual contributions, the team ensures WRI has the philanthropic resources needed to power its mission and achieve transformative impact. Job Highlight: The Senior Manager and Lead, Campaign for People, Nature and Climate plays a key role in the execution and completion of the multi-year $1.5 billion Campaign for People, Nature and Climate , with a focus on achieving fundraising goals for the $150 million Enterprise Fund. This role provides strategic support that strengthens donor engagement, advances moves management priorities, and equips leadership, frontline fundraisers and the Campaign Cabinet to make meaningful progress with individual donors and prospects. With the Campaign now successfully at its mid-point, this role will be instrumental in guiding the transition to a fully in-house campaign structure and will serve as the central hub for coordinating internal Campaign activities. In your day-to-day role, you will prepare written donor strategies, develop tailored cultivation approaches and ensure that donor insights, campaign data, and next steps are clear and actionable. You will partner closely with senior leadership to support their out-the-door donor engagement efforts-anticipating needs, preparing materials, identifying strategic opportunities, and ensuring that leadership and Campaign Cabinet interactions with top prospects are timely, well-informed, and high-impact. By anticipating needs, surfacing opportunities, and keeping both internal stakeholders and donor strategies aligned, you will help ensure the Campaign remains energized, visible, and on pace to achieve its ambitious fundraising goals. You will be supported by the Individual Philanthropy team, Global Board, and Development Operations teams. You will report to the Senior Advisor for Impact Philanthropy.
