Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment.
• The ability to read and understand blueprints, technical manuals and wiring diagrams to aid in troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery.
• Perform regular and preventive maintenance on equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime.
• The ability to maintain a variety of machines in the factory such as plasma cutting, brake press, laser, paint line, and welding machines.
• The ability to interface with other departments to accomplish tasks
• Maintain a clean work area as required
• Working ability to follow and apply all applicable safety requirement to comply with regulatory agencies
• Report workplace hazards associated with equipment being used, workplace injuries and/or illness and workplace near miss incidents immediately to direct supervisor
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• The ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day
• The ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane
• Other tasks as assigned
• Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have two years of maintenance experience in a production environment
• Must know and follow standard safety practices
• Basic blueprint reading skills
• Basic math skills
• Must possess own tools appropriate to the job being performed
• Knowledge and ability to use appropriate tools related to the task.
• The base hourly rate for this role is $27.00.

The position will be required to perform preventative maintenance as well as corrective maintenance to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good working order.
