Specialized Experience for GS 13: One year of specialized experience which includes: managing educational programs such as enrollment and eligibility to include interpreting federal laws and regulations regarding eligibility programs, evaluating the effectiveness of eligibility program operations and recommending organizational, and/or program improvements; and monitoring force structure changes and their impact on schools. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
