For more information, visit WPP.com . Product Owner wanted to join our Business Consultancy team in Portugal. Hybrid working - Lisbon or Porto As one of our Product Owners you'll play a key role to maximise the value the product team creates by defining the roadmap, priorities and business outcomes. You will take a lead role in project(s), managing and developing the agile methodology within one of our leading clients. What you'll get to do: Product Backlog Management: Translate product vision into actionable backlogs for 1-2 development teams, optimising resource utilisation and ensuring clear organisation to deliver value. Maintain a product backlog through grooming and prioritisation of tasks, ensuring visibility and transparency. Define and classify Epics and user stories with clear goals and acceptance criteria User Research & Validation: Make use of available data and sources to inform user stories and validate hypotheses through user feedback and testing. Agile & Scrum Participation: Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, serving as a "customer proxy" to reflect business needs and accept completed user stories. Stakeholder Communication & Management: Effectively manage direct stakeholder groups, validating client feedback, resolving issues, and providing progress updates. Interface with VML or other delivery teams as required. Product Performance & Data Analysis: Actively use product metrics to support backlog prioritisation and seek data to make informed decisions. Utilise both quantitative & qualitative measures to monitor overall and feature-level product performance, leveraging web analytics and SEO tools for actionable insights. Ensure data coverage & integrity is a part of the process. Strategic Alignment: Drive and champion the long, medium and short-term vision for the product, aligning with the overarching business strategy and collaborating effectively with other teams. Support product strategy and align team value to the product strategy. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with and support other Product Managers and Senior Product Managers, contributing to team success and knowledge sharing. Business Acumen: Focus on product viability and success, articulating business benefits, tracking value delivered, and using insights for prioritisation. What you should have: Practitioner/Consulting Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to deliver tactical, detail-oriented enhancements with a near-term focus. Proficiency in analytical skills, communication, collaboration, technical knowledge, Agile methodologies, and product processes. Proficient in using AI-powered tools to accelerate discovery, backlog refinement, documentation, analysis, and decision-making within product teams. Technical Curiosity/Domain Expertise: Ability to translate customer requirements into technology delivery and produce user stories ready for development. Engage in technical and customer experience discussions, ask probing questions to drive better solutions, and understand customer expectations of the product. Prior experience in the automotive industry, large-scale enterprise websites, or digital products for the European market is highly advantageous.
