Job Description As a Technology Consultant you will sell limited number of specialized company products and services, typically a single product or product line. You will work with Sales Account Managers when opportunities are identified. You will be a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex technical sales. You will specialize in RA automation products/technologies (PLC / SCADA / DCS / Network Switch / Reporting Software's / IIoT platforms) and the applications of those products/technologies. We will base you in Johannesburg, Gauteng. You will report to Solution Architect Lead. You will do: Facilitate and provide product-based training to the sales team & channel. Co-operate with the sales team in promoting the product range to our customers with presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, performance tests and/or similar activities. Produce and present Bill of Material List. Define and promote product differentiators and values versus competition Assist Business Lead in launch of new products to the sales team and channel. Develop and deliver presentations and demonstrations for use at tradeshows, sales offices, or corporate facilities. Review and provide feedback on market development requests and development specifications. Review and provide feedback on content and accuracy of RA product and promotional publications. Seek out and participate in both formal and informal training opportunities to continuously develop technical skills (desire to follow and learn new technologies) Own and solve applications working on their initiative. Complete own tasks/responsibilities Share concerns and ideas. You will have: Bachelor of Science in a technical field (i.e.: BS Control Engineering, BS Electrical and Electronic Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering) Very good command of English language skills (both written and verbal) Must have min 4 years of total working experience You might also have - the preferred: Rockwell Automation product knowledge Pre Sales experience Field experience
