Primary Mission The Director, Business Development, will work as an integral part of the Space Systems Sector BD team, focused on: Leading cross-functional teams to drive coordinating and capture success across the enterprise Planning capture efforts from initial opportunity interest brief through award and building the requisite team Achieving and maintaining Executive support through Sprint/Status Reviews, Gate Reviews, and signoffs Developing insight into customer needs, wants, and concerns leveraging and partnering with the BD team and other capabilities within the enterprise Developing capture strategies (including offering approach, shaping, and advocacy) based on customers, competitors, and the Business Case to improve the probability of acquiring profitable business Managing the execution of high-priority projects that support business growth and long-term objectives Providing counsel to the VP, BD on strategic, operational, and organizational matters, and ensuring alignment to the enterprise and sector goals Overseeing day-to-day operations related to business development, ensuring processes and systems support overall efficiency As a Leader you will: Lead autonomously and execute independently with good judgment Embody and exemplify the qualities of leadership Northrop Grumman values in a manner consistent with being a senior leader in the Space Systems Sector Set a Vision Take Ownership Lead with Courage Respond to Challenges with Resilience
