- Maintains the standards of anesthesia care and implements the related policies and procedures of the medical center and the Surgery department.
- Is able to organize and set priorities when performing anesthesia duties and responsibilities. Performs psychological evaluations to assist in the development of rehabilitation plans for outpatients and inpatients
- Reviews and follows the Anesthesiologists plan of care including the pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation, anesthetic type and risk classification.
- Reviews the patient's current health status and medical history, including pertinent lab work before administering any anesthetic. Refers any questions/concerns to the supervising anesthesiologist. Ensures that the supervising anesthesiologist is notified of induction and emergence from anesthesia.
- Demonstrates proficiency in all modes of administering general anesthesia.
- Implementation of safe and appropriate care of the patient.

Works collaboratively under the anesthesiologist and the overall direction of the OR Manager, Director of Surgical Services and Vice President of Patient Care Services. JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetist. Certification & Licensures: Current licensure to practice as a CRNA in the state of Missouri. BLS Certification ACLS Certification PALS Certification
