About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Teaching Associate in Psychology to join the Department of Psychological Sciences and Health at the University of Strathclyde. The post is open-ended. You will make a significant contribution to the Department through teaching, scholarship, and citizenship. You will be joining an internationally recognised academic group with research expertise in cognition, health psychology, mental health, ageing, and behaviour change. We also have a taught portfolio of popular UG and PGT courses (BA Psychology, BSc Psychology & Counselling, MSc Clinical Health Psychology, MSc Psychology Research Methods, MSc Psychology Conversion with specialisms in Business and Health). A PhD in Psychology or a relevant area is essential. Applications are sought from those with a background in developmental psychology. Expertise in adolescent and child mental health with an emphasis on adolescent mental health promotion/intervention is highly desired. A broader expertise in mental health, including difficulties such as insomnia, psychosis, trauma, may be an advantage. Experience of teaching within a Higher Education context is required.
