About the Position: The incumbent will serve as the Deputy Chief of Police who is responsible for law enforcement operations with supervision of law enforcement patrols that function 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level which includes: Planning, directing, and reviewing the activities of police officers; assigning work to subordinate police officers; observing and evaluating the work performance of police officers; Participating in investigations; utilizing basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and/or techniques involved for maintaining order and protecting life and property.
