About the role

Reporting to the Manager Intake and Specialist Support, Student Wellbeing, you will: Provide case management and wellbeing guidance to students in student accommodation and across the University. Guide accommodation staff on referral pathways through Student Wellbeing services. Complete mental health assessments, including risk factor assessment, safety planning, and referral to appropriate treatment options. Coordinate and monitor care arrangements for students referred to external providers (e.g., emergency services, hospitals, mental health teams, GPs, legal services). Identify, assess, and report on potential risks including harm to self/others, complex mental health concerns, and matters related to sexual assault, sexual harassment, or other harmful behaviours. Assist in the coordination of residential life wellbeing activities, presentations, and workshops. Work with accommodation providers to help develop a safe and inclusive culture in residential settings. About You You're a wellbeing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to step into a role with purpose and clarity. Selection Criteria: Degree or equivalent experience in Social Work, Health Services or a related discipline. Knowledge of students in a residential environment and the Australian higher education system. Expertise in conducting mental health assessments, including assessing risk factors such as risk of harm to self and others, safety planning, and referral to appropriate treatment options. Expertise in student wellbeing projects and programs. Experience developing and delivering guidance on sensitive topics for a culturally diverse audience, including people with disabilities and LGBTIQA+ identifying people. Knowledge of student wellbeing, student safety, equity, and inclusion issues in higher education. Experience in or knowledge of gender-based violence processes and trauma-informed approaches. *Please note that this role is based on site on campus.
