Skin + Me is a mission driven start-up with seriously big skin goals. We're looking for an exceptional Engineer to join our Operations Team at Skin + Me. This is a full time role based at our state of the art factory in North Acton. About the role: As an Engineer at Skin + Me you will be part of the end-to-end project process - from design, order & build of new machinery and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a degree in mechanical engineering, controls and automation, electrical or similar and be highly competent at problem solving challenges in a manufacturing environment. What you'll do: Work on exciting and challenging engineering projects across the factory Deliver solutions to complex and varied engineering challenges Work on a diverse range of projects from start to finish including installation, testing, modification, upgrades, and development of machinery and infrastructure. Provide hands-on technical support to resolve major engineering issues quickly and efficiently. Who you are: These are the skills we're looking for. Great at problem solving, being creative and able to implement solutions Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Highly competent at 3D modelling in CAD packages (preferably Solidworks) Experience in relevant manufacturing techniques (e.g. laser cutting, CNC and injection moulding) and product packaging Good knowledge of control motion systems (actuators, pneumatics, bearings etc.) Ideally have experience of PLC programming or coding skills A degree in engineering, controls and automation, electrical or similar Ideally have 4+ years of experience, but we're open to strong candidates at different stages of their career Why should you choose Skin + Me?
