Role Summary The Recruiter or Senior Recruiter is a trusted talent partner responsible for attracting and hiring high-caliber talent that drives firm performance and culture. This role partners closely with hiring leaders and HR Business Partners to deliver thoughtful, informed hiring strategies and a best-in-class candidate experience across the full lifecycle. You will lead searches across functions, proactively engage top talent, and influence hiring decisions through market insight and structured evaluation. As part of a collaborative, continuously improving Talent Acquisition team, you will also contribute to advancing our broader talent strategy and strengthening our position within the asset management industry. This is an opportunity to shape hiring outcomes, influence business decisions, and help build a best-in-class recruiting function in a highly competitive talent market. This role reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition. This hybrid position will be based out of our Kansas City office. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future. How You Will Make an Impact Serve as a strategic advisor to hiring managers and HR partners on talent strategy, market insights, and process design Own end-to-end recruiting execution, from intake through offer and onboarding Execute searches ranging from early career to senior individual contributor and leadership roles across investment, technical, and corporate functions, including niche and hard-to-fill roles Source and engage passive talent using creative, multi-channel strategies Deliver a high-quality, consistent candidate experience that reflects our brand Lead structured interview processes, including screening, calibration, and debrief facilitation Influence hiring decisions through evaluation and stakeholder alignment Create and implement sourcing strategies for specialized and competitive talent markets Partner on offer strategy, including positioning and closing top candidates Leverage data and reporting to track progress, identify trends, and improve outcomes Maintain accurate and compliant processes within Workday and recruiting workflows Contribute and lead recruiting projects as needed What You Bring to the Team (Required) 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (5+ for Senior Recruiter), ideally in complex or high-touch roles Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving hiring decisions Demonstrated sourcing capability with evidence of building passive talent pipelines and success in filling niche roles Highly organized and agile with the ability to manage multiple searches and priorities simultaneously Clear, professional communicator with strong stakeholder and candidate management skills Proactive, resourceful, and detail oriented with a commitment to delivering a high-quality experience Experience using recruiting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS systems, Microsoft Office suite) Demonstrates the American Century Investments Winning Behaviors: Client Focused, Courageous and Accountable, Collaborative, Curious and Adaptable, Competitively Driven.
