I/S Director - PAI

About the role

PAI is a nationally licensed TPA, delivering flexible solutions across group health plans, ancillary products, and P&C programs, and offering innovative approaches to support client partners. We currently provide administrative services for both traditional self-funded accounts, as well as providing business process outsourcing solutions for regional and national businesses. Position Purpose: Directs tactical and operational to support business goals. Develops and manages strong working relationships with all leadership of all customers and lines of business. Ensures continuous customer satisfaction. Liaison between the IT staff and the sister companies/parent companies. Location: Location: This role is Full-time (40 hours a week Monday-Friday) onsite, located in Columbia, South Carolina. Logistics: This position is with Planned Administrators Inc. (PAI) - one of BlueCross BlueShield's South Carolina subsidiary companies. This position is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Gains familiarity with our current products and promotes current systems to meet the customer's business needs and corporate strategy. Represents customer account in all I/S efforts that will impact their customer.
• Reviews project management activities and ensure that work is authorized, funded, prioritized and that a quality product is delivered. Monitors execution of actual hours against planned hours. Monitors work progress and manages customer expectations throughout the project life-cycle.
• Interacts with internal and external customers to ensure continuous customer satisfaction with accounts managed.
• Provides management guidance and oversight to subordinate staff. Manages the day-to-day operations of the area of responsibility.
• To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following :
• Required Education:
• Bachelor's
• Required Work Experience:
• 10 years related IT experience, that can be inclusive of business functioning on the IT platform of AMMS or other commercial payer systems.
• 5 years management experience OR equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above (may be concurrent).
• Required Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrate the ability to productively lead a cross-functional team of managers and peers.
• Strong knowledge of technical trends and how to apply new technology.
• Understanding of I/S competencies and the value they bring to a customer's business processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to network and work within a complex matrix organization.
• Ability to manage customer expectations throughout the product life cycle.
• Ability to learn the complex interdependencies between business systems.
• Ability to navigate complexities to meet the needs of the customer.
• Strong communication skills to present in front of C-Suite customers and team executives.
• Required Software and Tools:
• Standard office equipment.

• Direct hands-on experience with c loud computing and integration.
• Experience with security, risk and compliance frameworks.
• Experience managing IT operations.
• Familiarity with NIST Frameworks.
