About the role

We are seeking a meticulous and driven Grant and Compliance Executive to join our client's finance and compliance team on a 3-year contract. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that grant claims are accurately prepared, reviewed, and submitted within stipulated deadlines while maintaining full compliance with regulatory and funding agency requirements. You will play a key part in supporting the organisation's grant lifecycle, liaising with auditors and internal stakeholders, and maintaining the integrity of financial data. Responsibilities

  • Grant Claims Submission: Prepare, review, and submit grant claims accurately and on time, ensuring full compliance with funding agency guidelines and internal policies.
  • Compliance Administration: Support compliance-related tasks including documentation, record keeping, and audit preparation.
  • Stakeholder Correspondence: Manage written communication with auditors, grant agencies, and internal stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
  • ERP Data Management: Use SAP HANA or similar ERP systems to create master data and process accounting entries related to grants.
  • Meticulous Checking and Follow-Through: Conduct thorough checks on grant claims and supporting documents, ensuring no errors or omissions before submission.
  • Prioritisation and Escalation: Work independently to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, prioritising effectively and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Who We're Looking For
  • Education and Experience
  • Minimum Diploma holder.
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in finance, accounting, or grant administration.
  • Fresh graduates with the right aptitude and disposition will also be considered.
  • Prior experience in grant accounting, grant claims submission, or compliance administration is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Skills and Competencies
  • Good written communication skills for managing correspondence with auditors, grant agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous with strong follow-through, especially in checking and submitting grant claims against deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA for master data creation and accounting entries is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with strong prioritisation and escalation skills.
