RECOVERY BARGE SUPERVISOR We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Barge Supervisor to lead our offshore recovery team during rocket recovery missions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive offshore or marine experience, and a background in rocket recovery operations is preferred. This role involves managing a team of technicians, overseeing deck equipment, handling rocket interfacing equipment such as holding systems and inert tank systems and ensuring the safe and efficient recovery of Neutron offshore. WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: Supervise offshore team and all activities during transfer operations and critical recovery operations. Conduct barge upkeep under direction of Port Engineer Conduct maintenance of barge deck equipment under direction of Port Engineer. Responsible for the hiring process of Barge and Marine Technicians. Directly supervise complicated or sensitive crew transfer operations at the direction of Offshore Manager. Assist with annual ABS, USCG inspections. Coordinate and present at scheduled crew meetings and training sessions. Work closely with companywide team members to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Participate in the development of new programs, policies, and procedures to enhance quality of operation. Submit weekly operational reports to the Port Engineer. Cover barge attendance scheduling as needed. Conduct shore side terminal work under direction of Marine Transportation Manager. Work closely with shore side maintenance to ensure barges and all marine assets are properly maintained YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, naval, marine, electrical, systems or aerospace engineering. Will consider 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree. 5+ years barge operations experience A USCG Issued MMC with a National Deck rating Must posses a valid TWIC card. THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE: USCG issued MMC with a National Mate License Experience operating diesel engines, cargo pumps, hydraulic booms, cargo gear, gate valves, and butterfly valves. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing. Must be physically able to commute to buildings and work at various facilities and sites Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise. Must be able to work Offshore with up to 25% travel Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
