About the role

We are seeking a Product Compliance Analyst or / Product Compliance Senior Analyst to join the PTX (Product, Technology, and User Experience) Risk & Compliance team. The PTX Risk and Compliance Team is focused primarily on assisting Product Team with risk and compliance topics. The Product Compliance service model to PTX consist in: Regulatory Analysis: Regulatory Monitoring, Interpretation and Translation. Discovery Support: Compliance support during Product Discovery. Assessment Support: Help PMs run through obligatory compliance processes (NPP, 8.2 Impact assessment, Target Market). Product Governance: Facilitate Product Governance to ensure compliant Products once launched. Compliance Requirement Implementation: Support Product Manager with the implementation of compliance requirements. AI Compliance tools: Build GPT tools to support PMs with compliance and risks. This role enables a compliance-oriented professional to help unblock key deliverables and new products by streamlining and coordinating requirements stemming from stakeholders across the organization, translating regulations into requirements and concrete recommendations, by using technology where possible. For the initial 0-12 months, this role will focus on supporting Product Manager in conducting: MaRisk AT 8.1 New Product Process and MaRisk AT 8.2 Impact Assessment (as detailed in MaRisk AT 8.1 and AT 8.2 ). EBA Target Market assessments (refer to the Guidelines on product oversight and governance arrangements for retail banking products ). Over time, the scope will expand to include support across the full service model mentioned previously. In this role, you will: Support Product Teams : Act as a key compliance partner for product teams, providing guidance and support for new products from initial discovery through launch and ongoing maintenance. Streamline Compliance Processes : Coordinate and guide product teams through essential compliance processes like the 'MaRisk 8.1 New Product Process (NPP)', and the 'MaRisk AT 8.2 Modifications of operational processes or structures' facilitating risk assessments, control identification and implementations. Serve as a Liaison : Act as a critical link between the First Line of Defense (1LoD) and Second Line of Defense (2LoD), ensuring seamless communication and alignment on compliance requirements and implementation. Manage Regulatory Requirements : Help product teams translate complex regulatory and consumer protection requirements into clear, actionable tasks. You will also assist in implementing solutions for regulatory or audit remediation. Conduct Analysis: Perform gap analyses on new legislation to identify potential impacts and responsibilities for PTX. Build Relationships : Become a trusted point of contact for product managers and engineers, fostering a strong culture of compliance and risk ownership within the First Line of Defense. Develop and use Compliance Tools: Build and leverage AI solutions to streamline and improve compliance work, making processes more efficient and effective for product teams. What you need to be successful: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in any relevant field (law, finance, economics, among others) or equivalent relevant experience. Three years (five years for senior analyst) working in a compliance, product development, or risk management function at any highly regulated area including but not limited to FinTec, banking, investments, insurance, financial services etc. Knowledge of Agile Methodologies and Product Management methodologies Ideally worked in a bank and a product-led organization Ability to navigate the regulatory landscape and thoroughly understand the relevant regulations. Experience in translating regulatory requirements into actionable compliance measures, ensuring that products meet all legal and regulatory standards. Ability to perform risk assessments, identify potential compliance risks, and assist with implementing mitigation strategies. Experience in managing complex projects, particularly those involving cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders. Strong understanding of the banking sector, especially understanding of BaFin Regulations and EU Directives/Regulations. Ability to communicate clearly with peers, as well as stakeholders of all levels within the organization. Willingness to grow within the team and develop professionally Use of tools such as FigJam, Jira, Confluence, Gemini and Google suite Fluency in English is a must, German language knowledge a plus. Spanish, Italian and/or French are also advantageous but not required
