Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily maintenance department activities through training employees, determining methods for employee work, scheduling, and conducting employee performance appraisals.
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse inventory, including completing purchase orders for ordering parts and supplies.
  • Review work orders, assign personnel for fulfillment, and enter documentation into computer.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment operations.
  • Use HxGN System to enter, track and update work orders and Preventive Maintenance schedules.

  • Write reports, including subordinate time sheets, maintenance reports and accident reports.

Requirements

  • College/ Technical School degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of maintenance and supervisory experience or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience in soy processing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles and practices.
  • Solid experience with using supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, training, and motivation employees.
  • Problem solver with analytical thinking and strong organizational skills.
  • Able to operate equipment including industrial machinery and hand and power tools in addition to various office equipment including computer and printer.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and experience with AutoCAD.
  • Ability to effectively function as a team player and with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests.
  • Demonstrated courteous, professional communication skills.
