Student Care Teacher (Various Locations, North)

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson content that facilitates children's understanding and engagement in learning
• Supervise primary school children to ensure completion of daily homework, fostering academic discipline and support
• Manage safe and timely transfer of students from school to student centre, ensuring their well-being during transit
• Implement safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for all children under supervision
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to report on children's academic progress and behavioural development
• Required competencies and certifications
• Hold a minimum diploma or WSQ Student-Care Certification as a professional standard for child care and education
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Demonstrate experience teaching primary school children to enhance instructional effectiveness
• Exhibit strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and caregivers
• Display creativity and problem-solving skills to adapt teaching methods and address challenges
• Show passion for nurturing children and commitment to their learning and development
• Maintain excellent work ethics and integrity in all professional interactions
• Positive attitude towards challenges to foster a supportive learning environment
• Experience working with children is preferred; however, candidates without experience may apply as training will be provided
