About the role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to support the financial clearance process for patients. The starting annual salary for the Financial Clearance Representative I is $42,641 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities

  • Work with insurance providers to verify coverage and support financial clearance for patient care
  • Help ensure required authorizations and approvals are completed in a timely manner
  • Create and maintain accurate records related to financial clearance activities
  • Serve as a point of contact between admissions, clinic staff, patient accounting, and physician billing teams
  • Communicate clearly with both internal teams and external partners to resolve issues or delays
  • Monitor and track financial clearance status to support smooth patient flow
  • Help identify and address gaps or challenges in the process

  • Required Education and Experience
  • Financial Clearance Representative I:
  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in pre-certifications and follow-up procedures or a related field; or
  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of a Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
  • NOTE:
  • Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
  • OR
  • Financial Clearance Representative II:
  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in authorization and follow-up procedures or related field; or
  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience Financial Clearance and/or Patient Access within the Financial Clearance Department at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
