Your role at Baxter: To supervise, coordinate, and administer the facilities department, responsible for construction, alteration, upkeep, and repair of the plant and related equipment. Additionally functions as the property security and janitorial maintenance officer. What you'll be doing! Developing and directing the implementation of modification and maintenance programs for facilities and related equipment. Meeting with external customers, representatives of other companies, and suppliers, in coordination with procurement functions, to evaluate alternatives. Recommending or arranging for outside development work. Managing energy systems at the Facility. Participating in project planning and directing projects or segments of larger projects to include scheduling, monitoring costs, resources, workforce loading, etc. You may give technical direction to engineers, technical contributors, technicians, designers, drafters, model makers, or others. Implementing plant layout, expansion, and utility modification projects. Ensuring that facilities modifications, machine installations, and modifications align with Mexican Secretary of Labor and other pertinent governmental regulations, and QSR's element 820.70 (c, e, f). Leading all aspects of facility and safety programs, including the accurate maintenance and operation of electronic security control devices. Coordinating with Human Resources on security and safety policies and procedures. Contracting facilities maintenance programs such as janitorial, HVAC maintenance, and pest control. Ensuring accurate cleaning through the facility contract janitorial staff. Maintaining contamination control. Applying quality improvement process-related tools as required in problem-solving and decision-making. Participating actively in quality improvement teams. Managing the budgeting process for the plant facilities and maintenance function. Ensuring the duties and responsibilities of subordinates are clearly defined and their performance is measured. Promoting positive employee relations in collaboration with Human Resources representatives and striving to maintain a high level of employee morale, participation, and dedication to the company. What you'll bring! B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plant Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5 or more years in a facilities Engineering/Management position desired.
