About the role

Perform duties to repair and test strapping tools to meet manufacturer specifications and prepare data for repair estimate. Most importantly, safety is the number one goal while performing any work in the facility. Essential Functions: Work from work order forms, product operation parts, and safety manual instructions. Pull work order forms and enter repair tech information into the computer and check for special customer instructions before planning repair needs. Diagnose tool operating problems and check on applicable test unit to analyze and determine repair issues. Disassemble unit, clean components and parts and check for worn, damaged and possibly defective parts. Enter the work order parts needed for repair from the bar code sheet or product manual for the product you are working on and check the price of repair and if the cost is not over 50% of the price of a new tool, then send the parts list to the parts department so the order can be filled.
