Public Works is seeking a Project Manager III (5506) for our Infrastructure Task Force section to manage the implementation of several highly complex large-scale Development Agreement projects through the entitlement, planning, design, permitting, construction and acceptance phases. Your role involves advancing the delivery of public infrastructure, expediting the review and approval of infrastructure design and engineering submittals, plans, and permits, and coordinating and negotiating with developers and other City agencies. These projects include, but are not limited to: Treasure Island, India Basin, Hunters Point Shipyard, HOPE SF Sunnydale and various other infill development projects. Important and Essential Duties: Your duties as a Project Manager III may include, but are not limited to, the following: Planning, organizing, and directing all phases of the project including but not limited to: Assembling design teams. Executing solicitations for professional services and construction contracts. Selecting project delivery methods. Managing the design phase, including design coordination meetings and facilitation of issue resolution in support of the project objectives. Facilitating the regulatory approval process. Monitoring the project budget, funding, schedule, design, planning activities, and change orders. Coordinating work of a multi-disciplinary technical staff across organizational boundaries. Coordinating and working with Construction Management professionals to ensure the product complies with the contract for construction, codes, and City and County of San Francisco (CCSF) Standards. Communicating and working with the public, private contractors, special interest groups, governmental funding and regulatory agencies, and CCSF departments. Serving as a primary contact for all parties involved in the project. Conducting onsite visits to job and meeting locations. Present projects at Public meetings and Board of Supervisors.
