Information Technology Specialist (sysadmin)

About the role

You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the Directorate of Operational Technology and Cyber Innovation of NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This job will close when we have received 50 applications which may be sooner than the closing date. Your resume must demonstrate at one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Operating Linux-based systems and Python programming systems. Designing, planning, and scheduling the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and software. Developing and maintaining the cyber directorate's development, test, and operational networks. Collaborating with team member to improve organization's engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.
