About the role
We are currently seeking a Sales & Marketing Controller (d/f/m) to join our Controlling team to support the Belgium market within the Benelux cluster. This permanent position is part of the Benelux Controlling organization, supporting commercial (Sales & Marketing) functions. The role plays an important part in financial steering, combining business partnering with core controlling activities such as reporting, planning, and data management. As a trusted business partner, you will support decision-making by providing financial insights, ensuring transparency, and ensuring consistent and reliable data across commercial processes. This role is based in Zeist and reports to the Senior Sales & Marketing Controller Benelux.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain regular financial reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Analyze deviations, trends, and key business drivers.
- Prepare forecasts for the Belgium market as part of the overall planning process.
- Identify risks and opportunities and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reliable and transparent outlooks.
- Act as a business partner to Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams.
- Provide data-driven insights to support commercial decisions.
- Maintain and ensure data quality in reporting and BI tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Support structured processes such as rebate management.
- Ensure consistency and reliability of financial data.
Requirements
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in Controlling or Finance.
- Strong proficiency in SAP (R/3 or S/4HANA) and Excel; experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) is a plus.
- Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate financial data into clear and actionable business insights.
- Proactive, structured, and well-organized approach to work.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
